Special Needs Attend Winter Camp

The Friendship Circle of Brooklyn held a Winter Camp for children with special needs who have time off from school.

While most children may still be in school, there are many that have two weeks off during the winter holidays.

For children with special needs who are off from school, the Friendship Circle of Brooklyn held its annual Winter Camp.

Coordinated in conjunction with and hosted at the H.E.S. in Canarsie, the program included crafts, Yoga, Karate and exclusive access to the centers Multi Sensory Environment – Minies Place.

The staff of the H.E.S. headed by: Mr. Eli Rubenstein – Executive Director, Mrs. Moshit Rivkin – Asst Executive Director, Mrs. Danielle Fleischman, and Mrs. Mara Schwartz – Coordinator Special Needs Program, all went out of their way to accomodate the Friendship Circle, taking of their everything to the last detail.

A thank you to Morah Teichtel of Beis Rivkah, Mrs. Anita Altman of the UJA-Federation of New York and to the dedicated volunteers who are constantly outdoing themselves.
