Friendship Circle provides your family with a supportive community that gives you the opportunity to form real friendships within a non-judgmental environment. Friendship Circle provides many programs that are designed to nurture your child’s social, physical, and cognitive skills. We work individually with each family to understand their specific needs and concerns related to each child’s disability.
Please browse through the Family section by clicking on the links below. Make sure to check out the Resource Section for great opportunities and programs for parents.
For all new families interested in joining Friendship Circle there is a three step process to get started. If you already had an intake, please contact our office to register for specific programs and events.
Step One: Register for an Intake Meeting
Friendship Circle requires that all new families participate in an intake meeting before their child participates in programs. You will meet with a family coordinator to discuss the programs that are available for your child. The intake is also a good time to ask any questions or share any concerns you may have. Intake Meetings are generally held once a week.
Step Two: Registration for Programs
Once you have participated in an intake meeting you can now register your child for programs. You will receive an email asking you to complete a comprehensive registration form. Please set aside 20 minutes to fill out this form as there is quite a bit of detailed information that we will need from you (health & medical information, liability waivers etc.).
Step Three: Pairing of Volunteers
Once your registration has been accepted our volunteer coordinators will work on pairing an appropriate volunteer with your child. Depending on the program selected and the time of year you have registered there may be a delay of 2-3 weeks before your child can participate in programs. Please note: Friends at Home matches are only set up at the beginning of the year.
