Nothing makes children feel better about themselves than spending time with friends that truly care about them. Through the Friendship Circle Volunteer Club, remarkable bonds are forged between the children with special needs and their new friends.
A volunteer’s commitment and willingness to give of their time reminds us that today’s men and women, both young and old, are caring, compassionate, and dedicated to making a difference in every child and adult they encounter.
The Adult Division of The Friendship Circle consists of many devoted adult volunteers. These volunteers become an integral part of many programs including after school programs by using their professional skills as therapists, martial arts instructors, dance & art teachers, sports coaches, etc.
Once a friend, always a friend! After sharing such unique and special moments throughout their high school years with children with special needs, our alumni just can’t stay away! Young men and women can continue their dedication by visiting children with special needs, educating their younger peers, and giving their time and resources to The Friendship Circle. Alumni also play a key role in YAD Girls, a program geared specifically for young adults with special needs.
