Hundreds of men, women and children visited the Friendship Circle of Brooklyn’s annual art gallery event, “The Art of Friendship: Home is Where the Heart Is,” in collaboration with the Bear Givers Foundation.
Children and young adults with special needs in the Brooklyn, NY area worked very hard in creating their very own artistic masterpieces with the guidance of artist Rivka Gribov, and after months of preparation, family, friends and supporters gathered Sunday for a unique art gallery featuring their art.
Participants also enjoyed fun activities, face painting and refreshments.
At the event, Rabbi Berel Majesky, who directs the Friendship Circle of Brooklyn with his wife Chani, thanked attendees for their participation. Diane Lempert of the Bear Givers Foundation warmly addressed the crowd, thanking the artists for their collaboration to this Gallery, and to the community for always showing up.
The Friendship Circle of Brooklyn’s Art Gallery event was a beautiful expression of the transformative power of friendship and community.
