Introducing Friendship Circle of Brooklyn’s Newest Branch: Alumni and Friends.
A group of young women who are currently living in Crown Heights attended the kickoff event for Friendship Circle of Brooklyn’s newest branch – Alumni and Friends. The event, hosted at Congregation Shul, displayed a gorgeous array of desserts.
This newest branch of FC Brooklyn aims to get post-seminary girls and women living in Crown Heights involved in Friendship Circle’s programs – specifically to volunteer at the growing YAD Girls programs.
As the members of Friendship Circle are growing up and needing more programs that are suitable to their age group, the YAD division has expanded to offer a number of programs, that all need staffing. The girls in YAD look forward to these events and love spending time with each other. The purpose of Alumni and Friends attending these programs is to provide a way for young adults with special needs to socialize with young women their own age.
Director of Friendship Circle, Chani Majesky welcomed the young women in attendance and spoke about the objectives of Alumni and Friends and the importance of working together and growing as a community. Mushki Tenenbaum thanked everyone for coming and explained the different volunteering opportunities.
