When Special Parents drive in from places as far as Lakewood and Five Towns because they heard through the grapevine about this event, you know that what Friendship Circle is offering is completely unique.

While many parents worry about their children’s teachers, after school clubs and social activities, parents of children with special needs have challenges that extend way beyond these concerns. Constantly changing insurance policies, planning for the future, tough financial decisions, balancing care between the special child and their siblings; the list is endless. It is exhausting to try to navigate all of this and make sense of the constantly changing policies.

Our goal for that night? Get as much information to our parents in a straightforward and clear manner so that they can access the support that they need to move forward with ease.
Last Thursday night, the Friendship Circle of Brooklyn hosted their third Networking Night for their parent body. After being welcomed by Director, Rabbi Berel Majesky, the evening began with inspirational words from Rabbi Simon Jacobson. Attendees then had an array of ’round table’ options to choose from. Top professionals from their respective fields shared, answered questions and brought tremendous understanding and insight into these complicated topics.

Deep appreciation to our speakers and presenters: Rabbi Simon Jacobson, Mrs Mina Sputz, Mrs Sury Sternhill, Ms Tova Wacholder, Mrs Perry Binet, Ms Shaindy Nathan, Mrs Shoshana Brenenson, Mrs Chaya Rennert, Mrs Devorie Nathan.
