“Of course the big numbers and the big crowds are impressive and feel good; but the truth is, if you influence even one soul, it’s all worth it.”

Entertainer and singer Yossi Rodal shared these thoughts on his Instagram after performing at the Friendship Circle of Brooklyn Mega Chanukah Event; A Night To Unite.

If you think about it, it’s an interesting thought to leave with, after performing for close to 800 people. But that is what you see at the Friendship Circle. A room filled with people, but every soul is noticed and shining.

The volunteers are engaging, welcoming and inclusive. It doesn’t matter what you look like, how you communicate or walk. Over here, each member is embraced and celebrated. From the dance floor to the foods served (yes!! gluten free options are available), from the reserved wheelchair seating to the gifts that each and every child received on their way out (based on their personal preferences), each detail is intentional and thought through and most importantly, each soul shines.
