Mothers of children with special needs in Crown Heights were treated to a night out in the town with food, fun and music.
The Friendship Circle of Brooklyn treated their “super moms” to an enjoyable night out and some well deserved time for relaxation.
The mothers were warmly greeted by FC Director Chani Majesky, welcoming the ladies on to a luxury limo bus that would be shuttling them to breathtaking sights around Brooklyn.
Not too far from Crown Heights, the first stop was in the Red Hook district. The view of the Statue of Liberty was spectacular and was voted as one of the top places to view sunset in NYC. The moms enjoyed the view with a lavish salad bar, assorted sushi and a violin performance.
At their second and final stop, the mothers took delight in an LED light show by entertainment professional Joe Janicki performed against a backdrop of bright city lights and enjoyed a wide array of desserts and drinks while relaxing on the grass at Brooklyn Bridge Park.
The night ended with everyone sharing the same warm sentiments that the night should have continued forever, with one mother writing “What a gorgeous event on such a lovely evening. Yasher koach. It was so perfect – I needed it so much! It relaxed me immensely and invigorated me to give strength to other moms on their journey.”
A big thank you to Mushki Tenenbaum and Sheina Chincholkerfor all their help planning and executing a beautiful night.
