While many in the Frum community may not have taken notice, there are many that have been off these past two weeks.
For children with special needs who are off from school, the Friendship Circle of Brooklyn held its annual Winter Camp.
Coordinated in conjunction, co-sponsored and hosted at the H.E.S. in Canarsie, the program included crafts, Music, Karate, Yoga, Sports, a Magic Show and exclusive access to the center’s multi-sensory environment – Minies Place.
“It’s our chance to imbue the kids with wholesome fun in a warm and loving environment,” said Mrs. Chani Majesky, director of Friendship Circle, “the smiles of these precious kids, are priceless.”
The staff of the H.E.S. headed by Mr. Eli Rubenstein – Executive Director, Mrs. Moshit Rivkin – Asst Executive Director and Ms.Natalie Galosa – Coordinator, Special Needs Program, all went out of their way to accommodate the Friendship Circle, down to the last detail.
The Friendship Circle thanks Morah Tiechtel of Beth Rivkah High School and the dedicated volunteers who are constantly outdoing themselves in their dedication to the children.
It was part of the Friendship Circle’s Public Holiday Initiative and scholarship fund that offers a full week of camp with an action-packed schedule. For more information about the Friendship Circle, visit our website www.fcbrooklyn.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org
